Si occupa inoltre di: studi in termini floristici, vegetazionali, conservazionistici e applicativi (bioindicatori, azione di fitodepurazione, attenuazione riscaldamento delle coperture), con particolare riguardo a: flora e vegetazione termofila mediterranea; flora e vegetazione urbana; comunità vegetali acquatiche e spondali; servizi ecosistemici e tecnologie verdi (tetti verdi). Studio delle invasioni biologiche con approfondimenti floristici ed ecologici su alcune specie vegetali aliene ad alta invasività in Italia e in Europa.
