Profilo competenze: 

Le diverse attività di ricerca condotte nell’ambito dell’Acustica hanno come obiettivo lo studio di soluzioni innovative e sostenibili per contrastare l'inquinamento sonoro e migliorare l'acustica degli spazi destinati alle arti performative, siano essi interni o esterni. Lo scopo generale è quello di studiare gli aspetti oggettivi della qualità acustica degli spazi e di valutarne la percezione uditiva, quantificando il disturbo causato dai suoni definiti indesiderati. Questo approccio integrato mira a valutare gli ambienti sonori e promuovere il benessere acustico della comunità, contribuendo al miglioramento complessivo della qualità del paesaggio sonoro.

La ricerca ha inoltre riguardato studi di psicoacustica collegati al tema del paesaggio sonoro nelle moderne aree urbane. La ricerca si è inoltre focalizzata sull'analisi di tecnologie alternative per mitigare l'inquinamento acustico, come le tecniche del "sound masking" e del "music masking". Questi approcci innovativi rappresentano strategie efficaci per gestire e migliorare la qualità acustica degli ambienti urbani. Lo sviluppo di tale ricerca riguarderà lo studio della percezione sonora negli ambienti confinati attraverso l’applicazione di tecniche di soundascape.
