Claudia Pelosi is Associate Professor in Chemistry for Environment and Cultural Heritage (CHEM-01/B) at
the University of Tuscia (UNITUS) in Viterbo (Italy). She has a long experience in cultural heritage field
where she operated since 1991 when started her academic activities in the Institute of Applied Science
to cultural heritage in the first Italian Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage. She
worked in several research projects. Between the most relevant it is worth to note that in Mandalya
Gulf (Turkey) from 1996 to 2004 and in Cappadocia from 2005 to the present, aimed to investigate, to
restore and preserve the byzantine wall painting in the church of Küçük Tavşan Adası and in the
extraordinary rupestrian contests in Cappadocia.
She has been actively collaborated to the institution of the Technological District of Cultural Heritage of
Lazio Region (DTC Lazio) and to the activities, both research projects and training.
Claudia Pelosi is responsible of 5 research groups, approved by her department, and various research
projects to explore issues related to the diagnostics and restoration of cultural heritage, such as
CHANGES and Rome Technopole projects within the PNRR framework.
She obtained the National Scientific Qualification as Full Professor in Analytical Chemistry (D.D.
553/2021 and 589/2021) with validity from 01/06/2022 to 01/06/2034.
She is co-author of 125 scientific papers indexed on Scopus (h-index=25,
